A tremendous week of action in the Fantasy Cricket competition. A good programme of 4 day county matches, plus the 1st Test between England and Pakistan has provided ample scoring opportunities for those battling for the title.

Centuries for Shiv Chanderpaul, Chris Nash and James Hildreth catapulted Mark Johnson back into serious contention. Last years champion and current leader Colin Fraser responsed with Mark Cosgrove and a vital double points scoring century from Matt Prior.

Rain Stopped Play, managed by Nick Johnson remain in the vacinity, helped admirabley by Eoin Morgans superb 1st innings display for England, only slightly marred by his run-out in the 2nd innings! New signing Chris Tremlett, after a slow start to his debut cleaned up the lower order to pick up 4 wickets also. Is Mr Johnson ruing his decision to leave Jim Allenby out of the side following his 5 wkt haul?

Ian Hunt was seen having strong words with his batting duo of Andrew Strauss and Mark Ramprakash, upon whom he was relying to keep his runs ticking over this week as he fielded a strong bowling attack in an effort to gain ground in the wickets/5 wkt haul charts.

Attentions will no doubt begin to turn now towards the 1st of the Fantasy Football drafts which takes place this Saturday. I'm sure you are all keeping a close watch on the transfer market for news of players coming into the Premier League and indeed, perhaps more importantly, those going out!
